Abstract

It is a great popular proverb that ''Travelling is a means to victory''. Travelogue Writing is not merely a such form in which figures about any city, country or public are narrated. But through travelogue writings human life, psychological and spiritual aspects of different societies can also be studied. In the under discussion article, Travelogue Writing's of patriarchs of Sindh and people belong to Monasteries are discussed (Exclude Naqshbandi Monasteries). At one place these travelogue writings are about sacred places and at the same time about those cities and countries where Muslims had exaltation. Travelogue Writing of Monasterial Literature of Sindh with information tells us about human behaviors, social aspects, spiritual conditions and intellectual rising of that particular society. These travelling writings importance become more from this point of view that when a trained person of monastery travels from place to place, his journey is different from the journey of a common man. He studies different aspects of other societies from his monastic point of view. His necessaries for journey are also different from the common traveler. When he writes he also narrates the etiquettes of visiting sacred places. These travelogue writings are of such standard that they should be mentioned in the history of Urdu literature.
