“Imtezaaj” is an Urdu language research journal which been biannually published by the Department Of Urdu, University Of Karachi, since 2014. It has been approved by HEC the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan in "Y" category.

 “Imtezaaj” is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed research journal. It covers every domain of research being conducted in the domain of Urdu language and literature.

“Imtezaaj” promotes harmony and understanding among various schools of thought in the ongoing enhancement in research ." Imtezaaj" has been playing a significant role in developing indigenous research approaches that consequently will help improve the impact of research and criticism on society. One of the reasons behind publishing this journal is to promote the process of research and development through international standards.
