Sir Syed Ahmed Khan was such a multi-faceted personality that he influenced almost every aspect of life, which in turn influenced different literary genres.One such genre was Urdu Novel.As Moulvi Nazeer Ahmed was a close associate of sir syed , he too was influenced by his reformist agenda and his novels too are  reflection of the social reformist thoughts that Sir Syed has been preaching all along.The paper critically evaluates Nazeer Ahmed’s Urdu novels, especially “ Mirat-ul-Aroos” , taking into account the social status in Sub-continent’s society, which was inspired by Sir Syed’s thoughts.
