Qaiser Saleem was a fiction writer and translator who has rendered many masterpieces in to Urdu. The long list of his translations from different languages shows that he had perfected the art of translation through years of practice. Khalid Hosseini’s famous novel “A Thousand splendid suns” has made ripples in literary circles. Qaiser Saleem translated that work into Urdu under the title: “Hain Zaufishan Hazar Durun Khana Aftab”. The different aspects of this translation have been analysed in this article.
