Abstract
Sachal Sarmast, a prominent poet of seven languages, holds a meritorious position in URDU GHAZAL in Sindh. Sachal Sarmast has introduced the classic way of Ghazals in Sindh. Besides this, he was a prominent poet of seven languages. His main work was on WAHDAT-UL-WAJOOD and other literary trends, which showed his tremendous capabilities and expression of his thought in Urdu and other languages.
Talpurs and Kalhora dynasty gave him due respects and full opportunities to preach & grow the Sufi-ism in Sindh.
Among Sufis Sachal Sarmast was the shining star of Sufi-ism & poetry in Sindh. He played a vital role in developing the Ghazal in Sindh by comparing the Deccan & Delhi dynasties of Urdu poetry. His political thoughts were not against the rulers of Sindh.
