Abstract

Where the modern criticism in Urdu Literature has introduced new trends such as structuralism, post-structuralism, and new criticism, there the Feminism has raised its voice. too. The voice of modern criticism has given awareness to women that she has her own economic, political, and psychological status and character. It can be said that this movement acknowledged the entire and comprehensive existence of women. So that new human relationships would be found in the patriarchal system, which has created misunderstanding about women has been spread. Now those misunderstandings and distinctions should be eliminated. In Urdu literature especially the time period from Paraem Chand to Sajad Haider Yaldram, then from Sir Syed to Muntto and lead to other short story tellers they all identify this difference in society through their writings. Wajda Tabasum, Asmat Chughttai, Bano Qudsia, Attia Syed, Nilam Ahmad Basher, Khalda Hussain, Nilu far Iqbal, Jamila Hashmi, Farkhanda Lodhi and Tahira Iqbal are those short story tellers who identify the problems of women. I chose Wajida Tabasum, Farkhanda Lodhi and Tahira Iqbal from the world of short story tellers to present their ideology toward Feminism.
