Urdu poetry has progressed over the years and contains the grasp of civilization in sub-continent. In its all genres it has conveyed meanings not from the dictionaries but also surfaced the layers and merged them in between people of society. A brief and researched study of modern Urdu Poetry, especially Urdu Nazam tells us that how it took scars from Indian Civilization and proved its roots from other civilizations.
