Abstract
Pakistan’s fist official national anthem, composed by Hafeez Jallundhari, is versified in a meter which has different variant modes knows as ‘ Zihaf ‘ (زحاف) .
The article analyses the anthem which has lines/couplets composed, seemingly in different meters. The article clarifies this misunderstanding.
