Allama Rashid ul Khairi(1868-1936), a short story writer, novelist and essay writer, strived hard through his writings  to reform the social and intellectual norms of his time. He did his utmost to focus the plight of women, their education and at the same time motivatated them to participate in the building of the society. He used his unique craft of essay writing in very simple style. In this article, focus has been given especially on his essays with reference to his services towards improving the status of women in the society.
