Meera Ji is considered among those important poets whose impact has given a new dimension to Urdu poetry that could be seen even today in the 21st century Unfortunately, the studies carried out about such a trendsetting and important poets have largely discussed his uneven life and living style. Hence, it is important to explore those theoretical discussions and scenarios that Meera Ji has gone through so that we can understand and make ourselves aware of Meera Ji's approach. This study is among the initial efforts to bridge this gap. Meera Ji has experimented with diverse aspects of poetry, a discerning review of its implied sense gives us access to the intense feelings of not only an individual but of the entire society. Hence, this new literary scenario that emerges along with progressive writers' movement is the basic link that cannot be ignored. This important point has been discussed in this paper.
