Abstract
The women writers of Urdu have shown and proved their creativity and talent in many literary genres, such as novel, short story etc. Their contribution has largely been recorded, evaluated and appreciated. But women dramatists of Urdu have largely been ignored, though their role in Urdu drama’s development is no lesser than their male counterparts. This article traces and analyses the Urdu plays written by women.
