Abstract
Iqbal has defined three kinds of knowledge. He says that the religion is a system of general truths and the search for rational foundations in Islam may be regarded to have begun with the Prophet (PBUH) himself. The extension of man's power over nature has given him a new faith and sense of superiority over the forces that constitute the environment. The facts of religious experience are facts among other facts of human experience and in the capacity of yielding knowledge by interpretation. The article concludes that the religious experience is essentially a state of feeling with a cognitive aspect, the content of which cannot be commiunicated to others except in the form of judgement.
