Shibli Naumani is considered one of those writers who have established themselves as a prolific one. Shibli Naumani’s master piece “Shair ul Ajam” deals not only with the specific outlook of poetry, but it also shows the cultural view as well. Shibli Naumani’s pragmatism has a vast influence on his writings. This article traces down the approach of Shibli in “Shair ul Ajam” and also discusses Shibli’s view of culture and civilization in addition to Persian literature’s history.
