Abstract
It has been a common practice in Persian and Urdu literatures to name one’s book after a famous book or a famous verse. Mirza Farhatullah Baig’s famous Pen sketch of Nazeer Ahmed Dehlvi became very famous. Keeping in line with the tradition many books of Urdu have been titled under the pattern of Farhatullah Baig’s famous pen-sketch. This article represents and evaluates the large numbers of books and pen-sketches written under the influence of Farhatullah Baig’s pen-sketch. It also surveys the writings presented on social media and on radio that have also been patterned on the that pattern and style.
