Abstract
Balochistan is the largest province of Pakistan but is far behind as far as education and economy is concerned. The largest province of Pakistan is the smallest one when it comes to population. Many vast areas of Balochistan are either inhabited or are sparsely inhabited, with no human being seen for hundreds of kilometers. This has played a role in keeping the province way behind in education and economy since the lack of facilities hinder the efforts to improve. But it is quite strange that even a hundred and a fifty years ago Sir Syed Ahmed Khan had left some indelible marks on Balochistan and its people. This article shows how and why the impact of Sir Syed on Balochistan was profound.
