Abstract
Moulvi Zakaullah was one of those companions of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan who tried his level best to accomplish the goals of Aligarh Movement. He also wrote many books on geography, ethics, literature, biography, linguistics and history. He gave special attention to history. His books entitled Tareekh-e-Hindustan (10 Volumes), Sultan-e-Hindustan (Volume 1 & 2), Tareekh-e-Englsia, Aain-e Qasri, Sawaneh-e-Samiullah, Tareekh-e-Islam, carry great importance. This article traces the effects of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan`s ideas on Zakaullah`s historiography.
