Abstract
Ismat is an Urdu literary journal. It was launched in June 1908, exclusively for women’s education and creating awareness for women’s rights.This article traces Ismat’s 100-year journey and studies it’s impact. The article also gives a brief historical perspective of women’s Urdu magazines in the sub-continent.
