Abstract
Baba-e-Urdu Molvi Abdul Haq used to support and guide the young scholars and writers of Urdu. Sibt-e-Hasan, who later shot to fame with his works on progressivism, was one of the budding writers whom Molvi Abdul Haq guided. The article analyses the letters that Molvi Abdul Haq wrote to Sibt-e-Hasan, explaining the literary, social and political background.
