Syed Muhammad Azhar Naadim Sitapuri (1914-1983) is a renowned name in our literary history. He wrote many novels, short stories, sketches and research articles. He was an eminent journalist, too. One aspect of Nadim's works is his pen-sketches. He wrote sketches of various personalities. This article evalutes the pen-sketches written by Nadim Sitapuri, with a reference to the historical background of sketch-writing in Urdu.
