Through its many dimensions, Urdu fiction has portrayed social issues quite well. The bitter realities of life have been at the centre of realism in Urdu fiction. In the domain of Urdu short story, Saadat Hasan Manto has perfected this art while using the technique of Social realism. His short stories have been based on the realistic approach towards human society. His tactful insight of human character had paved the way for his analysis. In his short stories, he has represented almost all dimension of life such as relationship of man against man and society. In this article, the researcher has analyzed the art of Manto and the use of social realism in his short stories.
