One of the reasons for the fall of Mughal dynasty was how they ruled India. This rise and fall had produced many topics for Urdu poets. Urdu poets had reflected upon various aspects of Muslim social life in sub-continent in their poetry. Some of the poets especially hailing from Lucknow and Dehli have made remarkable efforts while narrating Muslim decline. This article traces down the versatility of Urdu poetry with reference to some selected verses.
