Abstract
In the 1960's, some new trends emerged in Urdu poetry. Karachi, being the largest city of Pakistan and a literary centre, developed as a distinct literary school of Urdu ghazal. This article evaluates the Urdu ghazal, composed by the poets from Karachi. With reference to various poets, the article analyses the literary trends and sensibility reflected in it.
